Brown Sugar Jam Blondies

I am not a fruit dessert person. I can appreciate how they taste and all, but it is not my first pick. I am also not the kind to mix fruit into my other treats. Growing up, some relatives would buy cake that looked normal from the outside, but upon cutting, it had fruit in-between some layers. I never knew which kind it would be, and the fruit one always disappointed me because I felt it detracted from it. K, on the other hand, is a big fan of fruit desserts, so I try to stretch out of my comfort zone for him.

Wayback Wednesdays: Mixed Berry Pie

When I visited Maryland this summer, it was my first chance to make my dad some treats at his house for years. I needed to take advantage by making all of the treats that do not ship well. He requested a pie, and since it was summer, I went with this berry pie.

Tips-y Tuesdays: Baked Ravioli

I often make ravioli and tortellini just by boiling it and adding some oil and seasoning, but that’s about it. When I saw this recipe for baking it, I thought it was fun to mix it up. It made a bunch and worked well in leftover form, too. So…try baking your ravioli!
