Nutmeg Baked Eggs

This recipe got changed a bit because I wanted to use up some ingredients I had on hand. You could easily omit the potatoes, add some cheese on top, or do other changes. We liked how it tasted and I could see adding more potatoes or if I didn’t have them, serving this on rice. The eggs can be as cooked as you like, if you prefer yours softer.

Yule Log, or bûche de Noël

I know, it’s not Christmas, but who says you can’t make a chocolate ganache jellyroll cake at other times of the year? A Love Log for Valentine’s, perhaps? Hmm…maybe not. That name needs work. But regardless, you can find a time to make this. It is easier than I thought it would be, and the taste was great. If you don’t like quite so much chocolate, you can dial it back, and you can certainly use a less dark chocolate if you wanted, but the ratio of chocolate:cream might be different.
