Baked Cheeseburger Sliders

When I saw this recipe, I thought it might be fun to make mini burgers, and also make the burger process a bit more streamlined. I like that the burgers are all assembled at once and ready. So easy! The Fudgelet didn’t like that the buns get toasted, but he still ate them quickly and was all about the leftovers (especially because they are softer microwaved).

These were tasty and all of the sauce and cheese keeps the filling from drying out.

Directions for Baked Cheeseburger Sliders

Slightly adapted from How Sweet Eats

  • 12 count package of slider buns
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Ketchup
  • Yellow mustard
  • Cheese slices for the burgers
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • Sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 Tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 1 Tablespoon BBQ sauce

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a foil-lined baking sheet. Put the bottoms of the rolls on the baking sheet and put a layer of sliced cheese on top.

Meanwhile, cook the beef in a skillet, adding some oil if necessary. Season the beef with salt and pepper. When it is browned, add 3 Tablespoons of ketchup and 2 Tablespoons of yellow mustard, stirring it in. When the beef is done, spread it on top of the cheese slices. Stir together the mayonnaise, Dijon, honey, BBQ sauce, and 1 Tablespoon of yellow mustard. Drizzle some of this sauce on top of the ground beef, then top with the shredded cheese. Put the tops of the rolls on and then spray a bit of oil on top of the rolls. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, then bake for about 10 minutes until the cheese melts and the buns get a bit toasted.
