Someone reminded me of this recipe and it was perfect for a small get together we hosted. I actually made it twice because the first time my marshmallows were too old. It really did matter because I made the recipe the same way and the first time it became hard as a rock and was inedible. The second time it was perfect. So, make sure your marshmallows are still soft and fluffy (even though you’re melting them, the texture beforehand matters).
These cookies were a hit with my favorite peanut butter fans. Soft and a little chewy with lots of peanut butter flavor. And best yet? They are quick to make and require no fancy equipment. These could be made with your kid helping you or your baby napping. Yay!
You’re getting a post a day early, in preparation for the weekend. For those of you waiting to have treats until after Lent, well, I think this should be one of your first to have. When I made my list of goals for the coming year of blogging, I never realized that I would knock so many items off so quickly! This recipe handles the “Homemade Twix Bar” item. I might make another version of these, but these were very good! The bars satisfy both sweet and salty, which helps with you not needing as many…maybe?!
In April, I was lucky to be able to go to a book release party for Molly Moon’s Cookbook and I blogged about it here. It was such a fun event, and I liked being able to share it with some friends. But I was even more excited to go home and make a recipe. We got home late, so I had to do it the next day. I had prepped by putting my ice cream maker in the freezer the day before. Salted Caramel is one of the flavors we enjoyed from the Molly Moon store, and I was excited to be able to make it at home. I actually didn’t know ahead of time that they do egg-less ice creams. This was my first time making one, which might explain an issue I had with the softness. Yes the ice cream is soft because it has salt in it, but it was ridiculously soft!! Like, melting almost instantly in the bowl. It was better when I used my new ice cream holder. I also felt it was a tad salty and would cut back the salt next time. Using the chocolate sauce on top helped cut the salt and they enhanced each other.
