That’s right. Here is the official blog announcement. There is going to be a second Fudgelet in the family. Well, obviously I won’t call that child Fudgelet as well. I will need a second nickname. It is still a bit early to be confident on the gender, so we shall see. I had joked previously about making the name related to salt/chips/etc. in honor of K’s favorite treats. And it could work in a sweet and salty way for their names. Anyway, I am not focusing on the baby today as much as myself. I don’t get too many chances to be selfish these days, and I am taking advantage of it on here today. This is also my moment to remind sensitive souls and eyes to stop reading here. If you don’t enjoy knowing or hearing about female things, then go now and come back next post.
Does the name of this recipe confuse you? Maybe it won’t if you read my post about the Fudgelet. Isn’t it appropriate that the Fudgelet decided to enter the world shortly after I made a fudgy cake? I made this cake with the intention to have it the following day. I ended up caving and having some that night. And of course I wasn’t around the next day because I was in the hospital, but I had a bunch when I returned from there.
Now, I should mention that this post is just 4 days away from the baby’s due date. Yeah. So there is the chance that the baby has already arrived and I am in full Mom Mode. Or, I could be feeling impatient. Or in labor. Who knows. Regardless, I scheduled this so that you would still have some Fudging Ahead words to read today. So, fingers are crossed! In fact, this post is part of today’s topic: nesting.
Every time I think of Pro/Con lists I am reminded of The Gilmore Girls. Rory Gilmore (the daughter on the show) used to make them for everything. Well, maybe I was inspired by that for this! Basically, I’ve had a good amount of time to think about this pregnancy thing since I am now around 38.5 weeks. Note that this Pro/Con list is merely about being pregnant. Obviously I’ve already decided that having the baby is worth all of this, so there isn’t really a competition between the pros and cons. Having the baby is a big “pro” after all. 🙂
