Hello hello. It is time to update you on the last 2 months with the Chiplet! He has still been causing quite the stir here. Sometimes he is super sweet and snuggly, and other times he is throwing food and heavy objects. So, you know, all the fun parts of a toddler. He still causes just as much worry as when he was a baby, if not more. I read a post the other day that newborns are the best and it only gets worse. I don’t know if I agree with that completely but I do feel that there are ups and downs with all of the ages. I do like that he can express himself even if I don’t always understand him completely.
Tomorrow is the Fudgelet’s big 8 Month mark. This means we have made it 2/3 of the way to toddlerhood. That. Is. Crazy. I guess I feel a bit wiser about some things. But at the same time, I can’t say I will remember all of this wisdom even a year from now. Some parts are so natural right now, but who knows how it would feel with a different baby. I don’t know if I would ever feel comfortable watching someone else’s baby. I know so much about mine, but that’s it. How are other babies when they are hungry, tired, or need a hug? I have no idea. Did you know I never changed a diaper before the Fudgelet’s? Yeah, no baby experience here, other than holding my nephew and having him pee on me once. Haha! (I might remind you of that when you are older, nephew, or I might not since you are super sweet and I wouldn’t want to make you upset.)
So, what’s new this month, you ask?
Officially, he will be 7 months tomorrow, but of course I have pictures to show in the meantime. This month started off slowly. It didn’t seem like he had many milestones to work on, but then vroom! Along came sitting, almost-crawling, and lots of consonants. The other awesome bit of news from last month is the Fudgelet had his 6 month checkup, and although his weight stayed in the same percentile, and his head remained large (they had to measure it 3 times because they didn’t think it could possibly be that big), his height shot up! He is now in the 52nd percentile, which considering his parents (ahem), is impressive. Of course, most of that height could be head size, haha.
