Just a quick little post today with some fun the Fudgelet and I had back in the spring. Yes, I probably could switch to 3 posts a week on here to keep things closer to when they happen, but…well, I’m also trying to keep my normal writing routine going strong so that I can maybe get lots of posts lined up for post-new baby arrival. Last time I think I scheduled for about 1 or 2 months after the Fudgelet’s arrival, so we shall see if I can do at least that. Still lots of new recipes coming, too.
After our letter adventures, we moved to numbers. I decided to make a number line since there was the perfect space in our dining room to hang them. I thought about looping all around but decided to just do the one wall. We managed to fit 1-25 which was a good start for him to practice counting over 10.
I realized it had been awhile since I updated on what happened with our letters. And part of the problem is I hadn’t actually taken pictures of the remaining ones. Or, at least, I thought I did, but haven’t been able to find them. Sooooo, not sure. Anyway, I just took pictures of them since they are still hanging up. We use them to help remember letter sounds when we are spelling and sounding out words. I also took pictures of our number line which I will post maybe next week.
This is all over the internet, so I’m not really sharing any groundbreaking news here. But, I do have some tips on how to make new crayons from old crayons. These were another Valentine’s Day gift we made for our friends. The Fudgelet loves playing with them. Sometimes he wants his regular crayons, but he often wants to draw with these instead.
The Fudgelet knows his uppercase letters pretty easily, and even does things like finding them in random shapes/lines (he found a W shape with our sliding doors) and making them (with his food, with his arms/hands, etc.).
Would you like some more Fudgelet pictures? Well, I have a few of those, along with some pictures of his stuffed animal friends. Today I am sharing one of his latest obsessions….
The panda is an old friend…it was given at the (his? my?) baby shower. In fact, here is the panda helping me practice using the car seat while I was still pregnant…
I have decided to start a new series on here. I have a Fudgelet Food series and I obviously have been sharing regular updates about him, but now I’m “slowing my roll” on those. As I’ve mentioned before, his food tastes have turned more into ours so he doesn’t really get much special food anymore. And as for the months, he is about to be two years old, so I might not have a regular updating series for him. Still figuring that out a bit. But, I figure I still need a place to share Fudgelet stories, whether it is food or just kid-related. So, Fudgelet Adventures are starting….now!
