Ham and Cheese Pinwheels

Easy meal alert! I know I could make these with from-scratch crescent roll dough but with so many meals to make these days, it is nice having a quick meal I can make with the kids helping, and not really need to plan ahead.

Directions for Ham and Cheese Pinwheels

  • Thin slices of deli ham
  • Thin slices of cheese (soft ones work better, such as muenster)
  • 1 tube crescent roll dough

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Open the tube of dough and flatten out the dough so that the little perforated parts are smoothed out. Put down a layer of the ham slices all over. Then put a layer of cheese slices on top. Roll the dough to make a long tube. Slice the tube into 1-1.5 inch wide pieces. Turn them on the side to see the pinwheels and place them on the baking sheet, spaced out a bit. Bake for about 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
