Chiplet Adventures (part 14): Letter R week

Sometimes we go out of order, depending on what the Chiplet is in the mood to make. For this week, we started with lowercase r.

It’s a simple activity…just cut out the pieces of paper, glue them on, and then add star stickers to decorate the background and the rocket. You can also draw on the rocket.

For uppercase R, we made a rainbow.

I used contact paper to make an uppercase R and then put it on a piece of watercolor paper. It took a bit to explain to him that we wanted to paint the paper and not the R, and I also had to paint with him to make it look like a rainbow and not just become a brown page.

Once we painted it…and that took awhile because he loves painting…

we let it dry…and then pulled off the R.
