So, after this post, the next post in this series is a bit different. 12 months = 1 year. This begs the question, do I continue with a monthly post to update you on the Fudgelet? Or would it be better to make it less frequent? Let me know…
Continuing, though, with our final non-toddler monthly update…
This month, the Fudgelet has been continuing his quest to conquer every room of the house. We keep moving furniture, valuables, etc. as he gets better at maneuvering into tight spaces. He is constantly on the move, which means that his play area is a disaster area after playtime. I used to wait until the end of the day to clean everything up, but now I do some as the day goes on because it is just.so.much.stuff everywhere!
He absolutely loves music and dancing. If we carry him around and dance, or just put on music, he will dance. My dad and stepmother visited, which led us to a new discovery: he loves music from the 70s, especially the BeeGees.
He will also play his own music, or bang along to the beat of songs.
During his 10 month photo shoot, I brought up his music box, and he kept dancing to it (he is mid bounce in the above picture).
He also still loves books. Even though he loves moving around, he will pull books off the shelf and sit with them, flipping through the pages.
And of course, another favorite is always playing with Daddy.
Sometimes I dress him to look like K, but often K dresses to match him. Luckily, I keep finding clothes that are similar to some of K’s favorites. It has meant that I keep putting him in yellow, though.
He is starting to stand a bit without holding on. He can stand while leaning, but sometimes lets go and just stands for a second or two. Thrilling for everyone!
I also feel that he is looking less like a baby and more like a toddler. Scary and exciting all at once.
And yes, he is finally starting to learn that objects can go back inside containers, and not just be dumped out. Here’s hoping he helps with cleanup soon! Hahaha.
